WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY OF THE PROCEDURE
INITIAL STEPS
The procedure is two visits. You will be emailed pre-care instructions with things that need to be discontinued before your appointment. The first visit is approximately 3 hours. The first hour will consist of before pictures and shaping the eyebrows.
THE NEXT PHASE
Shape is most important in Nano Brows! You need to love the shape of your new eyebrows. Precise measurements will be achieved for your symmetry. A grid will be used to check all accuracy, making sure your brows are perfectly even.
THE PROCEDURE
We all have heard the saying that brows are sisters not twin’s but let’s face it, we all want twins! We will not start blading until you have approved the shape. Once the shape is approved, we will begin the Nano Brows. Nano Brows takes approximately 1 hour. The second appointment (1 hr) is scheduled 5-7 weeks later for the touch up.
THE TOUCH-UP
A touch up appointment is required for any corrections needed and to reinforce strokes that lighten/disappeared doing the healing process. During the healing process you will be provided with a brow wash and a balm. Instructions on your post care will be provided.
POST CARE
Post care is very simple and consists of washing your brows twice daily (am and pm) for the next 10 days. Some artist’s do dry healing, we believe in wet healing. Washing your brows every day during the healing process is crucial and will help prevent a ton of scabbing and of course infection.

Microblading FAQ's
WHAT IS NANO BROWS?
Nano Brows is a manual, semi-permanent tattoo technique used to create the illusion of fuller brows. It is a process of implanting color pigment into the upper layer of the skin with the use of handheld, tiny needles to deliver the appearance of hair strokes that enhance your natural beauty.
HOW LONG DOES TREATMENT TAKE?
Nano Brows generally requires two treatments at least 5-7 weeks apart to allow for the healing process to complete. The initial appointment will take about 2-3 hours to complete and touch-ups require less time. We cover your personal needs during all of our one-on-one consultations.
HOW LONG BEFORE I HEAL?
Please keep in mind that eyebrow Nano Brows requires a minimum of two treatments, an initial procedure and a proceeding touch up. This touch up process should occur around 5-7 weeks apart, which is enough time to allow for healing. This session is an opportunity for you to address any issues you had with the initial treatment and to make subtle improvements.
DOES NANO BROWS HURT?
Here at Dawn Marie Studio, we make it our mission to make every customer as comfortable as possible. We always begin by taking the time to fully numb the brow area with medical grade topical anesthetic. Keep in mind, pain tolerance varies from person to person.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
This will vary from person to person depending on the client’s skin, health and lifestyle. As Nano Brows is considered semi-permanent, your brows will slowly fade overtime. This is why an annual touch up is recommended.
ARE THERE ANY PRE & POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS?
Pre care instructions…Please refrain from alcohol, ibuprofen, energy drinks, caffeine and all aspirin products 24 hrs prior to your appointment. Vitamin E and fish oil capsules must be discontinued 7 days prior. If you are using any products or facial cremes that contain Retin A or Retinoids please discontinue at least 7 days prior. WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE NANO BROWS?
You should NOT consider micropigmentation if:
‣ Under 18 years old
‣ Pregnant or nursing
‣ Diabetes, glaucoma or on blood thinning medications (Doctors note required for some health conditions)
‣ A transmittable blood disease such as HIV/Hepatitis
‣ Any kind of skin condition near the treatment area (i.e. acne, shingles, psoriasis, rashes, eczema or anything else near eyebrows)
‣ Undergoing chemotherapy
‣ Keloid scarring
‣ Hemophilia
‣ Severe acne or taking skin medications like Accutane and steroids (you must be off of Accutane for one year)

WHAT ARE THE RISKS & COMPLICATIONS WITH Nano Brows?
Nano Brows is a relatively low-risk procedure. However, since it involves breaking the skin, infections are possible, though unlikely. Also, allergic reactions to the pigment are possible.
WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE THE RESULT?
The easiest way to make sure you do are not dissatisfied with your Nano Brows or permanent makeup is a thorough consultation with the technician who will perform your procedure. It is vital to not to rush this process and to be extremely careful when choosing an establishment and a technician.
Microblading is becoming a more and more popular procedure for a reason. This method of semi-permanent makeup goes beyond simply tattooing pigment into the skin; the process requires time and expertise to carefully craft hair-like strokes. Instead of using a tattoo machine, the treatment utilizes small and thin handheld needles to manually draw hair-like strokes. We understand the process may sound a bit abrasive, but we assure you that our highly skilled Southampton PA staff are trained to professionally enhance your brows in the most comfortable way possible.
One of the main pros of microblading is that most people cannot distinguish it from actual eyebrow hair. This means that not only those with thin or light eyebrows benefit from it, but also those suffering from cancer and alopecia.
Please keep in mind that eyebrow microblading requires a minimum of two treatments, an initial procedure and a proceeding touch up. This touch up process should occur around 5-7 weeks apart, which is enough time to allow for healing. This session is an opportunity for you to address any issues you had with the initial treatment and to make subtle improvements. The frequency of touch-ups will depend on various factors such as skin type, health and lifestyle.
